Hollow Hope

Lying numb,
She stares into the space
All dark and hushed,
matching the tresses of her hollow life
The present,
she feels, stands feeble
The future in loud mist
The strings of hope that ever were
hang loose from the heart and mind
Calling out for a hand,
Or even a slight glint of light,
in the dark
To enliven it again,
‘cause she still clings to a hollow hope,
May be this time for the unknown
